On updating and editing my 1001 Books and Authors list

Ow! It's been over a month since I last updated this Blog and I really need to do a lot better than that! I don't want this Blog to just become one of those that just gets forgotten about and abandoned and just ends up slowly gathering Cyber-dust in a dark, dingy little corner of The Web!!

What's more, I really need to get on with my 1001 lists! It is just that life is so hectic that often I can find a thousand and one other things to do rather than come on here! I have no excuse but partly my reticence to come on here has a lot to do with the fact that, at the moment, I have become largely apathetic about my online existence. Facebook really doesn't interest me at the mo, other than for playing Scrabble or new game, Sims Social, and as a result, I am hardly in contact with any of my Online friends. To those of you reading this at the moment, I am sorry and don't take it personally, it is just everything else in my life at the moment is taking priority!

One of the main things I am doing at the mo in my spare time is playing Fallout3 on Xbox! Set in an alternative future Washington DC where nucleur war has devastated much of what was once the USA, your job is to track down your father whilst completing missions and objectives for the other people that you meet struggling to survive in this atomic wasteland. It is lots of fun, absolutely huge and has five extra Downloadable Mission packs to add on to the main game giving it lots of longevity. It is the only thing I am playing on Xbox at the moment and you could say that I am more than a little obsessed! It reminds me a lot of the Deathlands books by James Axler that I am likewise addicted to and which are also set in a nucleur-devastated future. The books are proper modern pulp fiction and published by the same company (Gold Eagle) who publish the Mack Bolan and Executioner series of novels but I love them and though not all of them are totally brilliant, the vast majority of the books that make up the Deathlands cycle really keep you wanting more!

Anyway, back to my 1001 lists.....

Firstly, I have decided to edit my list of 1001 Books And Authors You Really Need To Read Before You Die. This because if I don't, I feel I will never live to complete it.
