Well, I promised you a quick update of what's been going on in my life since last we spoke properly and so far I haven't delivered, so here's a brief summary of recent events....
Tonight I attended a Focus Group at The Forum in Norwich which regular visitors to the City will know is the building that is host to The Millenium Library. The Group was organised by a Consumer Research Company on behalf of Norfolk's Big 3 ~ namely Africa Alive, Banham Zoo and The Dinosaur Park. Mrs.Sparky got an invite because she is on their Mailing List and I went on her behalf after qualifying through a short survey. The main focus was on them learning what kinds of effective advertising works best, why we chose the Attractions we do to visit and what could be done to improve local Attractions in general not just the Big 3. All very interesting but I must admit the big draw was that everyone got £30 cash for attending. Ka-ching!
At The Hotel, Bon Jovi Roy has just left following the appointment of Junior-Sous Alan who is under me. He is okay one supposes but nowhere near as good as his own publicity and is making a good sized job of pissing off many of the Front-Of-House staff so we will see how long he lasts. We also have a new Menu called 89 (the address of The Hotel) which we have been doing since New Year and which consists of lots of various home-made burgers served different ways, chicken dishes, fish dishes and various sides. It is quite extensive and took some getting used to (Saturday nights are now absolutely rammed) but everyone seems to be getting into the swing of it now which is good!
As far as recent Kindle books go, I have read a few since I last Blogged but will get on to some of them next time.....
