Marbles the clown is a homeless drifter who finds himself drawn to the circus life - the first place he has ever been accepted - but things take a turn for the worse when he encounters a feral boy in the woods.
As Marbles falls ill, the circus is forced to move on without him until finally, a few days later Marbles awakes in the morgue with an appetite that seemingly can only be sated by the taste of human flesh.
Determined to return to the only home he has ever known, Marbles sets off after the circus but along the way, begins to undergo a startling transformation over the next few days that sees him turning from man into beast...

I liked this latest book from Toneye Eyeknot.
Yes, it's a bit short, and yes, this never gives you much chance to really sink your teeth (excuse the pun) into the characters, but it's also lots of fun and a wholly original take on the werewolf legend.
Definitely one to look out for...
